The short version
- We do not ask you for any personal information. There is no account, no sign-up, no email address and no profile to fill in.
- Your game progress stays on your device. Coins, levels, streaks and settings are stored locally and are never uploaded to us.
- We do not run our own servers or analytics. The app has no backend.
- The app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google collects data to serve them, including your device's advertising ID. That is the only third party involved.
- You can erase everything at any time from Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
1. Who we are
This policy explains how the mobile game Guess It! (the “app”, package id
net.guess.it) handles information. The app is published by
SOUSSI NIAIMI Badr-Eddine, Morocco
(“we”, “us”).
It applies to the Guess It! app on Android and iOS. It does not apply to any other app, website or service.
2. What is stored on your device
Guess It! keeps your game state locally, using the operating system's own app storage
(Android Preferences / iOS UserDefaults, or your browser's local
storage on the web). This data never leaves your device — we have no
server to send it to.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Levels completed, scores and stars | So you can continue where you left off |
| Coins, XP and player level | To run the in-game economy and progression |
| Daily streak and daily challenge state | To track your streak and allow one attempt per day |
| Achievements and statistics | To show your profile and unlock rewards |
| Settings | Language, theme, sound, vibration and accessibility preferences |
| Ad frequency counters | To limit how often ads are shown to you |
None of this identifies you. There is no name, email address, phone number, contact list, location or photo involved at any point.
3. What we do not collect
To be explicit, the app does not:
- ask you to create an account or provide an email address;
- collect your name, address, phone number or date of birth;
- access your location, camera, microphone, photos or contacts;
- send your game progress, statistics or settings to us or anyone else;
- use any analytics, crash-reporting or attribution SDK;
- track you across other apps or websites on our own behalf.
The app's own content — puzzles, images and translations — is bundled inside the app and loaded from local files, so normal gameplay works entirely offline.
4. Advertising
Guess It! is free and is funded by advertising. Ads are served by Google AdMob, a Google service. This is the only third party that receives any data from the app.
What kinds of ads appear
- Rewarded videos — always optional. You are shown what you will get before anything plays, and nothing starts without you tapping to accept. Declining costs you nothing and the game remains fully playable.
- Interstitials — full-screen ads shown only at natural breaks, after a level's results screen. They are rate-limited and never appear during a puzzle, on launch, or in response to answering a question.
What Google collects
To select and measure ads, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA), IP address, device and operating-system details, coarse location derived from your IP address, and interactions with the ads shown. We do not receive this information, and we cannot see who you are from it.
Google's handling of this data is governed by its own terms, not ours:
Personalised ads and consent
Where required by law, Google presents a consent message before serving personalised ads, and your choice is passed to Google. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the device controls described in Your choices and controls below.
5. Permissions
The app requests a deliberately small set of permissions.
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
INTERNET |
Required to load ads. Gameplay itself works offline. |
AD_ID |
Lets the Google Mobile Ads SDK read the advertising identifier on Android 13 and later, for ad selection and measurement. |
VIBRATE |
Optional haptic feedback when you answer. You can turn it off in Settings, and the game works normally without it. |
The app never requests access to your location, camera, microphone, storage, contacts or any other sensitive permission.
6. Children
Guess It! is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not directed at children under [13 / 16 — the age applicable in your markets], and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because the app serves advertising, parents and guardians should be aware that Google collects the data described in Advertising above. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, the fastest remedy is to reset the advertising identifier and uninstall the app; see Your choices and controls.
7. Your choices and controls
Ads
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, where you can refuse app tracking requests.
- Rewarded videos are never automatic — they play only when you choose to watch one.
In the app
- Settings → Reset progress permanently deletes all locally stored game data on the device.
- Sound, music, vibration, reduced motion and higher contrast can each be turned off.
8. Retention and deletion
Because your game data is stored only on your device, we do not retain it and cannot delete it for you. It is removed when you:
- use Settings → Reset progress inside the app; or
- clear the app's storage in your device settings; or
- uninstall the app.
Data held by Google in connection with advertising is retained according to Google's privacy policy, and can be managed through the device controls listed above.
No cloud backup by us. If your device's own backup service (such as Android Backup or iCloud) is enabled, your local game data may be included in that backup. That backup is governed by your device manufacturer's or operating system provider's privacy policy, not ours.
9. Security
Game data is stored in the app's private storage area, which the operating system isolates from other apps. Since we neither transmit nor store your data, there is no account of yours for us to lose. No method of storage is completely secure, and a device that is rooted, jailbroken or shared with others offers weaker protection.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data about you, and to object to it.
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose or delete — exercising those rights against us would return nothing. Where Google acts as a data controller for advertising, please direct such requests to Google using the links in Advertising, or use your device's advertising controls.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes — for example if we add cloud saves, online leaderboards or analytics. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top and, for significant changes, note it in the app or the store listing. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
12. Contact
If you have questions about this policy or how the app handles data, contact us at [email protected].
