Privacy Policy
The short version
- There is no account, no sign-in, and no way for us to identify you.
- Your progress — XP, coins, streak, scores, achievements — is stored only on your device.
- We never ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, location, microphone or camera.
- The app shows advertisements from Google AdMob, which uses a device advertising identifier. You control this, and you can play the whole game without watching a single ad.
- Deleting the app, or tapping Reset progress, erases everything.
This policy explains what Daily Brain Battle (“the app”, “we”) does with information when you play. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who is responsible
The app is published by SOUSSI NIAIMI Badr-Eddine. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
What is stored on your device
The app keeps the following in its own private app storage (Android SharedPreferences). None of it is transmitted to us, because there is no server to transmit it to.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| A random local identifier | Distinguishes your save file from a fresh install. It is generated on your device, is not linked to you, and is never sent anywhere. |
| XP, level, coins, current and best streak | Your progression. |
| Scores, accuracy, reaction times, recent battle history | The statistics screen and adaptive difficulty. |
| Achievements and their progress | To know what you have unlocked. |
| Today’s challenge state | So the daily battle survives closing the app. |
| Settings | Language, theme, sound, haptics, reminder time, privacy choices. |
| Ad frequency counters | To limit how often an interstitial can appear. |
What is never collected
The app does not request, access, or store your name, email address, phone number, contacts, calendar, photos, files, location, microphone or camera. It does not track you across other apps or websites. It has no login, so there is no profile of you anywhere.
Analytics
The app records simple gameplay events — a battle started, a round completed, a level gained — to keep the game working correctly. In this version these events stay on your device (the last 50 are kept) and are never transmitted. You can switch this off at any time in Profile → Privacy → Usage analytics.
If a future version adds a remote analytics service, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the same opt-out will apply.
Advertising
The app shows advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To serve, measure and prevent fraud in those ads, Google may collect and process data including your device’s advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about your device. Google’s handling of that data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Ads are never required to play
Every part of the game is playable without watching an advertisement. Rewarded videos are optional bonuses you choose to start, and hints can always be bought with in-game coins instead.
- Rewarded videos only ever start when you tap to start one, and the reward is stated before the ad plays.
- Interstitials appear only at a natural break — after the results screen — never during a question, and never for new players.
- Banners may appear during a battle. They never cover the game, and they are hidden entirely during the reaction round.
Your choices
- Personalised ads are off by default. You can turn them on or off in Profile → Privacy → Personalised ads.
- Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), a consent form is shown before advertising is used, and no ad of any kind is requested until you have answered it. You can reopen that form at any time from Profile → Privacy → Ad privacy options.
- You can reset or delete your device’s advertising identifier in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Notifications
The app can show one optional daily reminder. It is scheduled locally on your device — no server is involved — and it is off until you turn it on in Settings. You can revoke the notification permission at any time in your phone’s system settings.
Permissions the app requests
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE |
Loading advertisements. The game itself works offline. |
AD_ID |
The advertising identifier used by AdMob, as described above. |
POST_NOTIFICATIONS |
The optional daily reminder. Only requested if you enable it. |
VIBRATE |
Haptic feedback, which you can turn off. |
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and is not intended for them. It requests general-audience ad content only, and it collects no personal information from anyone, of any age. If you believe a child has provided personal information, note that the app has no mechanism to receive any — nothing leaves the device.
Data retention and deletion
Because nothing is collected on a server, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. Everything the app has saved is erased when you:
- tap Profile → Reset progress, or
- clear the app’s storage in Android settings, or
- uninstall the app.
Data held by Google in connection with advertising is governed by Google’s own policy, linked above.
Security
Your progress is stored in the app’s private storage, which other apps on your device cannot read. Since no personal information is collected or transmitted, there is no account to compromise.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data held about you. We hold none: the app has no server, no account and no record of you. The data on your device is yours, and the deletion options above put it entirely under your control. For data processed by Google for advertising, use the consent and advertising-identifier controls described above, or contact Google directly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here and the date at the top will change. Material changes will be reflected in the app before the version that requires them is released.
